Yayasan Orbit is Non-Government Organization (NGO), established on November 2005, legalized by notary certificate of Joyce Sudarto, SH, the number of NPWP (tax obligation number) 02.700.220.3609.000. The background of the establishment of Orbit Foundation is one of the implementation our care abd concern toward social problems in Indonesia. Based on society empowerment program, Orbit Foundation is founded by HIV/AIDS-drug activists in Surabaya-East Java, Indonesia.

Orbit Foundation has been establishing cooperation with entirely sectors in implementing the vision and missions, those are: District Government, NGOs and all the society elements. The basic principal in the organization is transparency and accountability, both in the way of funding and operation.

VISION

Forming developed humans

MISSIONS:

1. Involving the civil society in using their civil-rights and political-rights

2. Facilitating the civil society in taking part on social, economic and cultural sectors

3. Encouraging the civil society as the subject of the development, both personally and in group.

STRATEGIES:

1. Organizing representative and accommodative political will in development

2. Extending and developing society empowerment programs which is relevant and appropriated to social needs

3. Encouraging, facilitating, increasing, and developing cooperation and partnership effectively, efficiently, and transparently

4. Strengthening of law awareness and human rights on civil society

5. Establishing advanced society-changing-agent community and based on empowering aspect.

LONG-TERM PURPOSES:

1. Producing particular policy and problem solving as the fundamental guidance of implementation for the planners, stakeholders, governments, private sectors, and the society.

2. Advocating for the government policies which related to the health service, social, economic, and cultural sector.

3. Organizing some activities that closely related to health-program for society and human-rights

4. Providing any access for the activities and services that related to community empowerment
